Huckabee Endorsement from Don Wildmon of the American Family Association
Mike Huckabee has gained the support of Don Wildmon of the AFA. This from the Washington Times:
The Rev. Donald Wildmon, who founded the American Family Association in Tupelo, Miss., and whose evangelical Christian message reaches several million radio listeners and Internet subscribers, will throw his support to Mike Huckabee today, a Republican close to the Huckabee campaign told The Washington Times.
Some evangelical insiders predict that Mr. Dobson will back Mr. Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and an ordained Southern Baptist minister.
The rest of the article focuses mostly on Robertson’s endorsement of Giuliani yesterday, and about the shattering of the evangelical base. The story seemed thrilled to announce that saving the lives of the unborn is apparently not as important to some Christians as beating Hillary. Not for this mom … I will NOT abandon those who cannot defend themselves, not for any politician, not for any reason.
I was 41 when I gave birth to our only child. The OB pushed genetic testing on me which I repeatedly refused. I told him it did not matter, because no matter what the tests might find, I was still bringing my child into this world. He tried to spin it with “well, at least you’d know what to expect” and be prepared. At my age, I was grateful to be pregnant, and some of their tests have a chance of causing a miscarriage and that was a chance that was in no way worth taking.
Today we have a beautiful precious little girl. Her name means “precious gift of God”. I tell you all this to assure you, that despite what the Washington Times says, just because Pat Robertson use to be a defender of the unborn, this mom will not abandon those who have cannot stand and fight.

Be prepared everybody …
Kerry

Kerry,
In these days of great deception, God is making known who is really His, by the choices being made even in the political arena. It’s not easy to take a stand for what is right and biblically true it can be a very lonely place, but Jesus calls us to be that light in a very upside down and dark world. And to be alert and know not everyone that uses His name is His.
Given what I know of Pat Robertson and Don Wildmon, I will take Wildmon’s endorsement over Robertson’s any day of the week. It will give the Huckabee campaign a lot more creditability.
Thanks for sharing why life issues are so important to you. Praise God that He blessed you and your husband with your precious daughter and for giving you the wisdom to trust in Him alone.
Congrats on finally getting to meet Huck:)!
