After snowing all day yesterday, we ended up with about 8 – 10 inches of snow. We went out to play this afternoon and make the first snow angels of the season and some fluffy snowballs (not good packing snow). As I positioned three different neck gaiters on Hannah in an attempt to keep her head, neck and cheeks warm, I decided that it was time to look for something easier and more useful for her.
Hannah has a big head, and it’s difficult to keep a hat on that head when she’s playing in the snow. When I was a kid, the hoods on our winter jackets had strings to tie them in place, but not anymore. (see HERE … I do wonder how any of us survived childhood sometimes)
So, I found a wonderful company located in New Hampshire, called Red Bow. The customer service and communication with them has been delightful. Better yet, all of their products are made in New Hampshire using materials manufactured in the United States as well. They have been in business for 17 years. One of the polar fleece items they manufacture is called a head sock, which is exactly what I was looking for to keep Hannah warm while playing in the snow.
Please drop by the Red Bow online store and have a look around. You just might find some nice, practical, reasonably priced products to complete your holiday shopping, while supporting a truly all-American company.
