My husband and Mike Huckabee
As most of you know, my husband is taking construction work where he can find it, and this week that puts him in South Carolina. Convenient, because it afforded him the opportunity to go to a Mike Huckabee book-signing event in Columbia this afternoon. He went to the bookstore early this morning to get a number for his place in line this afternoon (he has number 4) and he found out that Gov. Huckabee would be taping his Fox News show in Columbia this afternoon as well. He called me a little while ago to tell me that he is in the second row, on the right in the audience for the taping of “Huckabee”. I am so bummed.

That is not even fair. Tell him you want to go too.
Larry – well considering I’m 700 miles away, it would be hard to get there in time. There better be pictures and hopefully I’ll at least get a signed book out of the deal!
Hmmm. Seems like Huckabee is still somewhat of an item:) My brother attended a book signing and got to spend a lot of time with Trucker Randy and the lady from Birch Run, MI, who gave him her wedding ring for the campaign. I had to work, so I know how you feel.
You definitely should hold out for at least a signed book.
I guess this is one of those times where you have to be happy for them!
I know Ronnica … I just felt like pouting a little bit. How you coming on your papers and studying? Graduation fast approaches for you, does it not?
Kerry,
I am glad that your husband is getting a little spotlight. But do I remember correctly that when Mike Huckabee was actively campaigning for the presidency your husband was able to take a trip to a Huckabee rally somewhere in the south while you had to stay home (in Michigan at that time) and take care of home and blogging?
Will take this opportunity to comment on the special “Wise Men Still Seek Him” Christmas setting on your blog with what looks like (but I don’t think it is) real snow in the foreground. Anyway, I have just finished, since Thursday night, preparing 43 Christmas cards with an enclosed Christmas form newsletter and additional personal notes in handwriting on most of these cards, which I hope to mail Monday. So I needed to get a little return “Christmas flavor” by looking at your temporarily revamped web site.
Hi Raymond – You remember correctly, but as he reminded me this afternoon, I was the one who had the one-to-one meeting and interview with the Governor. He said it was fun sitting in the audience for the show and that former SC Governor (and ardent Huckabee supporter) David Beasley was Gov. Huckabee’s guest.
I did our Christmas cards this weekend as well. We’re were going to go into town today to mail them, but we’ve had a steady stream of lake effect snow here today and our road is not quickly cleared. They can wait until Monday.
Nope, not “real” snow on my blog, but it is a cute little effect that I thought was kind of fun.
