Earlier this evening I wrote that I was afraid we might end up living in a tent in the Upper Peninsula so I can start my new job. Well, God gave a quick answer to prayers with a house for us to rent only about 1/2 a mile from my office! This is great since I won’t be spending a lot of money on gas or wear and tear on the car (on nice days I will walk). The better part is that I won’t be losing time away from Hannah with a long commute, and I can even pop home for lunch (or they can come by the office and we can picnic on the shore of Lake Superior). It will be hard to be away from her, but being able to live this close to work will ease that a bit.
We are grateful for a house sufficient for our needs, allows us to bring the dogs, and to put up a fence for the dogs and for Hannah’s play area. Also, since the cost of living is less in the UP, the rent on this house is fantastic and well within the budget.
Thanks for praying for me as I looked for work and then as I looked for a house. Now I ask you to pray as we pack and make the long drive and move over the next few weeks.
