I was scanning the headlines this morning looking for some current event that might inspire a quick post before I head off to work this morning. What I found though was that headlines seem to be the same old news. Even an 8.0+ earthquake and tsunami doesn’t seem to merit much attention in the media. The topics of the day are Michael Jackson (still?); the recession being over; the recession not being over; stocks up; stocks down; democrats blaming republicans; republicans blaming democrats; President Obama blaming President Bush; and on it goes.
One bit of good news is that Captain Sullenberger is finally going back to work as a pilot with U.S. Airways. I was a little surprised how long he waited to get back in the cockpit.
Since our lives are still topsy turvy and my time is limited these days, I am asking you for some topic ideas. What would you most like to see me write about? I won’t guarantee that I’ll write about every suggestion, but if I think it has merit and possibility, I’ll put it on my list.
Thanks for the help.
For now, I am off to “work-a-work” (an old Hannah-ism, but a favorite around our house).
OneMom

Sadly, One Mom, the news hasn’t changed a lot. It is crazy that Michael Jackson is still in the news, but Elvis has been dead how many years and he can still make headlines.
I would like to hear what you think about President Obama flying 4,000 miles to lobby the International Olympic Committee for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Games.
As Hannah says, I have to go to “work-a-work” myself. Have a good day.
Over here, Roman Polansky is still in the headlines. I have to say, I’m glad Zurich law enforcement did their jobs right, and got him into custody. Makes me proud of my “home away from home”.
Susan – it was impressive that Zurich arrested him. What irritates me is the calls from Hollywood to let him go because “it was just a little mistake”.
