New Year's Flyer

  • Happy 2010 everybody!
  • 2009 has been quite a year for our family. One year ago, I certainly never expected that this New Year’s Eve we would be living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in our own new home.
  • God has truly blessed our family in these difficult times for so many people in the United States.
  • I am also blessed to have each of you who I consider part of the OneMom family. You have made me laugh, cry, and encouraged me in so many ways – I am humbled and so grateful.
  • There is no way I’ll make it to midnight, so …. Happy New Year!

To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy

—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord,

before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

(Jude 24,25)

Happy New Year One Mom! Glad to know you. Thanks for posting the scripture from Jude – I love that one.

    Here’s my favorite:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13.

Happy New Year Susan! Romans 15:13 is one of my favorite scriptures set to music (from Integrity Music). You’ve reminded me of another that is encouraging and hopeful, from Zephaniah 3:17

The LORD your God is with you,
      he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.

No better way to start a new year, than with God’s promises!

Happy New Year Kerry. I am glad that your ducks all lined up and you have a house of your own. I take it that you didn’t have to break your lease on the first house that you lived in. I hope you have a great year!

    • onemom says:

Hi Frances, and thanks! We didn’t have a lease because the landlord was in the process of selling it (we didn’t want it for many reasons), so it was just month to month until we were able to get everything settled.

Happy New Year to you, too! What a whirwind 2009 was for you, but thankfully you know where the solid ground is!

  6. I made it to midnight with Chaps clawing his way up my body. He hates fireworks! So do I! Bless you Kerry and your family. We have enjoyed every minute of loving you.

Poor Mr. Mayor … he should move to the UP – all the matches must have been frozen, because we heard not one firework.

We are honored to be “residents” of Basset Hound Town.
