Chicken Sensors

I know most of my readers are very concerned about the economy, so I’m sure you will all sleep better tonight knowing that $375,000 of your money is being used for the following (courtesy of the U.S. Department of Agriculture):

…researchers will test wearable sensors that will monitor how chickens use space and resources in non-cage environments.

Sleep well, knowing that every movement of non-caged chickens is being tracked in East Lansing, Michigan.

Wow, $375,000 for a pork barrel full of chickens. No wonder our country is going broke.

Larry – the scary thing is that is just one little study at one university, and in reality $375,000 is a pretty small amount for these types of studies. Scary.

For half that, I’ll let the government know that our chickens roam most of our 5 acres. Oops. I should have waited until the check cleared.
