As of 7am this morning, there are still five 20-minute prayer times available for March 25th. It is troubling to me that if we can’t even fill an entire 24 hours to pray for the lives of the smallest among us, how will we be able to pray without ceasing for an entire year. Please go to Luke 18:1 and join the Great Prayer Project.
Today in the United States, 76 children under the age of 1-year will die. Truly I cannot imagine a greater sadness than the death of a child, and to think that 28,000 children a year never live to see the first anniversary of their birth is overwhelming. Another sadness is the fact that today another 3,500 wee-babes will not make it to the actual day of their birth. More than 1.2 million babies each year never have a birth-day, as they are murdered within what should be the safest place on earth: their mother’s womb.
This Thursday, March 25th, begins The Great Prayer Project. The project is based on the verse Luke 18:1 where Jesus tells His disciples that they should “pray without ceasing”. At 12am this Thursday (ET), begins one year of non-stop praying to end abortion. There is a calendar where you can sign up for 20-minute prayer appointments.
Can you spare 20-minutes sometime in the next year to pray for the lives of our smallest children?

Hi Frances – sorry you’ve not been feeling well. I was wondering about you and so glad you’ve picked up on this. Feel better soon.
I signed up two more times.
How about a re-post for Good Friday?
Excellent idea Vince.
Hi Kerry, just back from a mini-vacation, and catching up on blog reading. Technically it’s April 1st here, but I’ll pray anyway (unofficially) – thanks for posting this.
Hi Susan – the Prayer Project is going to run for a year, so there is plenty of times to still sign up for and pray officially!
