Somewhere in the United States

Good morning dear blog readers! Well, we are half-way through our journey. Mostly I have been working, but here is a picture of Hannah and I peeking from behind a beautiful old tree. This is your first clue  of where we are, feel free to guess.

In other news, I hate to admit that initially I fell for General Motor’s ad talking about how wonderful they are to have paid off their government loan five years early with interest. Then I found out the rest of the story that they “paid it off” with TARP money?! Still my money and I want it back.

Have a great day wherever you are!

PS – for those wondering about Nell and Sophie, they are enjoying themselves at home, with a wonderful “sitter” staying with them and meeting their every need (they will likely be disappointed to see us!)

That’s a very interesting observation Dominique! We have some other pictures of that tree that I’ll put up later – incredibly neat tree.

  2. Very cool tree! Was it in the dog park? Also, I was wondering howl you found your hound sitter? Did the kids have fun?

Have a great weekend Sweet Heart!

Hi Cat – actually we found our hound/sussex sitter on Craig’s List (local obviously, so we could meet her … a lovely person, who has now unfortunately moved back down state for a new job).

The tree was actually on the way to the Houston Aquarium. It had a sign in front of it – it was the old courthouse and the story is this tree was the “hanging tree”.
