I have been thinking about the various places I have lived through my life. In each place, whether with family or with roommates, each person always had a chair. Typically, these chairs were at the dining table and in the living room. The other day I came home from work and Hannah informed me that I could not have my chair because someone else had moved in and they needed a chair. This is what I saw:
So, I lost my chair to a donkey wearing a straw hat and reading a cookbook. I love being OneMom to a sweet, creative 8 year old!
OneMom

Now that is cute. That little gal sure has a wonderful imagination.
Hi Larry – She is a cutie. I did convince the donkey to take his hat and cookbook and go sit elsewhere.
Do you have unofficially assigned chairs at your house?
As a friend of mine likes to say, your daughter “didn’t lick it off the grass.” She has a wonderful role model.
Thanks Carol – I have not heard that reference before!
Actually, if we are in the living room, the recliner is mine. Unless Tammy wants it and then she gets what she wants.
Other than that, the desk chair in front of my computer is where I sit. (Probably too much of the time.)
You’re such a good husband, Larry!
You better put him in his place.
I ALWAYS have a seat, no matter where I go. I even tend to sit in the same place when I visit others, and it’s just usually the place I sat the first time.
Hi Ronnica! We are truly creatures of habit aren’t we?
Just the other day during missions committee someone mentioned that he felt “off” because one member sat on the “wrong” side of the table. I think we are creatures of habit more than we realize.
Hi Frances … I am wondering why the location of where we sit and where others sit is so important to us? Maybe we should all try changing our seating locations once in awhile.
