Do You Have a Chair?

I have been thinking about the various places I have lived through my life. In each place, whether with family or with roommates, each person always had a chair. Typically, these chairs were at the dining table and in the living room. The other day I came home from work and Hannah informed me that I could not have my chair because someone else had moved in and they needed a chair. This is what I saw:

So, I lost my chair to a donkey wearing a straw hat and reading a cookbook. I love being OneMom to a sweet, creative 8 year old!

Now that is cute. That little gal sure has a wonderful imagination.

Hi Larry – She is a cutie. I did convince the donkey to take his hat and cookbook and go sit elsewhere.

Do you have unofficially assigned chairs at your house?

As a friend of mine likes to say, your daughter “didn’t lick it off the grass.” She has a wonderful role model.

Actually, if we are in the living room, the recliner is mine. Unless Tammy wants it and then she gets what she wants. ;) Other than that, the desk chair in front of my computer is where I sit. (Probably too much of the time.)

You better put him in his place. ;) I ALWAYS have a seat, no matter where I go. I even tend to sit in the same place when I visit others, and it’s just usually the place I sat the first time.

Just the other day during missions committee someone mentioned that he felt “off” because one member sat on the “wrong” side of the table. I think we are creatures of habit more than we realize.

Hi Frances … I am wondering why the location of where we sit and where others sit is so important to us? Maybe we should all try changing our seating locations once in awhile.
