Happy Birthday to the Oreo Cookie

Happy 100th birthday to perhaps one of the most famous cookies in the world – Nabisco’s Oreo. Though I’ve not had one in years, my preferred method was to put the entire cookie into a glass of milk, let it get nice and soggy and scoop it out with a spoon. Yum. How do you eat an Oreo cookie?

Same as yours, actually. Dunk it until it’s soggy, and I’ll need a spoon.

I drink my milk on the side.

  3. I don’t think I have ever had an Oreo. Can you believe that? I heard today on Good Morning America that the 2 Os on each side represent the round cookie and the re in the middle is a portion of the world C re AM, (cream). No one knows for sure. I think that milk is a big part of eating Oreos and I don’t drink milk. Anyway, happy birthday Oreo! You look great for 100! You haven’t aged a day! Maybe you are the fountain of youth!

Never had an Oreo? Wow! Did you drink milk as a kid?

      • I am sure I did drink milk as a very young kid but as far as I remember I was repulsed by it. I would gag. I adore milkshakes! hehehe. Oh, and I did remember that I have had cookies and cream ice cream. I think that has Oreos in it. Love me some CandC!

so you like your milk as long as it’s thick, sweet and frozen! :D

I never used to drink milk as a kid unless it was ice cream or a milk shake of some sort. Then, my taste buds changed and I started drinking it too much in my late 20′s and 30′s. I’ve switched to skim milk now and don’t drink as much because it packs the weight on me.
