Hello there! Good to see the Thursday Three in my Google Reader
1. I don’t go to the public library here, as there is a fee, (the equivalent of 45 dollars) – and I’m not sure of the amount of English books. I have acquired a lot of used books since moving here, plus I now have a Kindle. So I’m good.
2. Useful thing learned? wow, I’m drawing a blank. That’s not good. Time to learn something useful!
3. My daily calendar stays pretty constant, as I have three adult children and they live in another continent The school year doesn’t affect me too much. EXCEPT, I belong to a Women’s Bible Study here in Zurich that meets in a friend’s home. I’m a co-leader and we run from September through May. I love when our times together begin again. I enjoy our fellowship, the sharing of burdens and joys, and of course the study. This year? Hebrews!
We visit our public libraries (we have several) as much as we can with Chaps the Mayor of Bassethoundtown. We stroll through often. Stopping to let the children pet him and see what they are reading. We always leave some slobber on the books, something we are proud of!
I am of the school that everything you learn is useful. I learn something new every day. Today, we learned countless things. The most profound…the elderly woman up the street needed help moving her garbage cans to her back yard. You can learn a lot from just watching from your window. Open your door and help.
More time out doors! Leaf trips, lots of walks, eating outside, furminating the hound, and enjoying the breeze.
Hi Cat – Hannah and I were at the library yesterday, and we would have loved to have seen the Mayor slobbering on the books! How are Chaps incisions healing?
Hi girls – The Mayor is doing great and his incisions are all healed. Howl ever, his fur is grown back funny in weird little patches.
Gosh, howl we would love to see you girls at the library. Sometimes the head librarian will look at me funny like, are you supposed to be in here? I will go on and on about howl important the Mayor is and we have a book in this library. We go over and pull it and we sit on the floor and before you know it I have about 20 kids sitting around Chaps. He loves it. (Could it be they all smell like PBandJ or just J if they are allergic to nuts). Kiss our Hannah for us….Have a wonderful weekend darlings….Love Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB
