Basket Weaving
Pardon the fluff …
Yesterday I took a distinct turn from working and from homeschooling and took a one day class in Basket Weaving. I’m not a very artistic person (unless it’s music related), but I have always wanted to give basket weaving a try, so I signed up for the class in my small town. This is probably the only basket I will ever make … it is so much harder than I ever imagined. Here it is – OneMom’s Basket:

Oh, I love it! You did a great job!
Thanks Cat. It’s the closest thing to “art” that I’ve ever completed. The process is hard on the fingers. Class started at 10 and I completed by basket at 4:30 with no breaks.
Wow! I’m impressed! That looks like a complicated basket for a beginner. It’s very pretty!
Incidently, I don’t think you should feel apologetic for “fluff” posts. I enjoy reading your blog, whether you’re writing about serious matters or everyday life.
Thanks – I needed to hear that today.
I was surprised at the size and complication of the basket that was used for a beginner’s class, but it was quite satisfying to see the finished product.
