Our gas prices hit $4.05/gallon yesterday. Last week Governor Snyder declared an Energy Emergency for the Upper Peninsula because of a fuel line shut down in Wisconsin. The problem was repaired by the end of the week, but our fuel prices have gone up more than 50 cents a gallon since Monday. One week of each year the nation is bothered that Augusta National does not allow women to be members. I wonder why that’s only a problem for one week out of 52? Personally, Augusta National is a private club – they make the rules. What bothers me about Augusta National is the extreme poverty in the neighborhoods that surround their grounds. Friday Flyer

Finally reached the point where there was a bit of daylight on my way to work in the morning, but this weekend will send me back to a dark morning commute. Winds gusting to 44 mph here this morning and snow. Wind chill is 7 degrees. Next week we are suppose to reach into the 50s. Lots of snow going to melt very fast. Gas here still at $3.99/gallon.
