Senate joins together to sell-out the American people

In a bi-partisan 83-9 vote, the US Senate supported the mortgage bailout measure. Obama and McCain weren’t there to vote, and Clinton (who supposedly went back to the senate today), didn’t vote. Tonight, Barack Obama has become the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party for the office of President of the United States. This is truly historic because never in this country’s history has an African American received the nomination of a major political party. On My Mind

Hillary Clinton cited two historical events as reference that democratic nominees are not always decided quickly. One event was her husband’s first campaign in 1992. The second was Bobby Kennedy’s campaign in 1968, in which he was assassinated in June. The extrapolation by others that she was insinuating something about Barack Obama being assassinated is one of the most insane, paranoid reactions that I have heard in a long while. Michigan Doles Out Democratic Delegates

Senator Clinton to receive 69 delegates. Senator Obama to receive 59 delegates. The 28 super delegates free to vote as they choose. This must be approved by the DNC later this month. On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in about 30 minutes, former President Jimmy Carter will be talking about Michigan and Florida and that both of our states must be disqualified and not seated at the convention.
