Friday Flyer

Our gas prices hit $4.05/gallon yesterday. Last week Governor Snyder declared an Energy Emergency for the Upper Peninsula because of a fuel line shut down in Wisconsin. The problem was repaired by the end of the week, but our fuel prices have gone up more than 50 cents a gallon since Monday. Patriots’ Day

$3.99/gallon

On Friday afternoon our gas prices reached $3.99 (and 9/10ths!) per gallon for regular unleaded. That’s about 50 cents higher than two weeks ago. I don’t know if they’ve gone up more as I haven’t seen a gas station since Friday. It is going to be very difficult for average Americans to handle these rising gas prices and continue to survive financially.
