CPAC and the death of social conservatives

I tuned into the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) live feed at 4:30 to get the results of their straw poll. Personally, I was unhappy with some of the things being said and the mentality of the crowd. Michael Steele new leader of the Republican Party

Michael Steele, the former Lt. Governor of Maryland, a Roman Catholic and an African American has been selected the new Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Ken Blackwell (also African American) would have been preferable, but Steele is better than Duncan, Anuzis, or Dawson. The Wall Street Journal followed the multiple votes live on their website.
