Recently I posted a poll on the blog asking you if you will have your children vaccinated against the H1N1 influenza virus. As of this morning, 70% of respondents answered “no”, while another 11% were undecided. This of course is not a scientific survey, but the numbers are interesting. We are over the fevers from the flu, but it has now settled in our chests, along with heavy coughs. Still worn out, but better than a week ago. CNN is apparently drinking Christina Romer’s kool-aid. They just aired a report encouraging people to spend and indulge themselves, because without indulgement we cannot be happy. I continue sending out resumes, cover letters
According to the CDC, influenza is currently widespread here in the state of Indiana and in almost 30 states nationwide. I know for certain it is widespread here at our house. The latest and last casualty is Hannah. She got up this morning and told me her nose was stuffy. In about an hour it had progressed to much worse than that.
