President Obama will be giving a jobs speech to a joint session of Congress this evening at 7pm. Some Republicans are refusing to attend, which in my mind equates to elementary school behavior – “I don’t like him and I’m not going to listen to him”. Former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee alerted the media yesterday that he will announce on Saturday, May 14th if he will run for President in 2012. The announcement will be made live during Huckabee’s weekly Fox News television show (8pm Eastern time). President Obama today relieved my concerns and said he would not release the photos of Osama Bin Laden. The members of the media are practically frothing at the mouth about this decision; sadly they seem cheated out of the opportunity to shock, sicken, and terrorize us with these photos. President Obama was suppose to make a statement at 10:30pm this evening (55 minutes ago as I write this). At the time, we did not know what the statement was, but in short order, the media has been reporting and confirming that Osama Bin Laden is dead. For the last 20 minutes or so have been awaiting a secretive statement from President Obama. It has been unsettling to wait and wonder for this statement. My first thoughts were that some sort of intelligence had indicated that we were under attack.
